My Top 15 In 2015

Today is the last day of the year and with that, I wanted to reflect on the big moments that happened over the last 365 days!

CAMDEN’S BIRTH

On January 12th, baby Camden came into our lives. This day was one that felt like it would never arrive and then it flew by quickly. I don’t know what I would do without my little man.

INTRODUCING CAMDEN TO HIS GRANDPARENTS

Camden met my parents the day he was born, but didn’t get to meet Mat’s parents for a couple weeks. Camden is the first grand baby on both sides so it has been fun to watch him with both sets of grands.

HAPPY 6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

On February 21, Mat and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. I honestly don’t remember much from the day, but I just blame it on having a newborn and very little sleep. I didn’t even have any photos from the day, but found this one from the following day!

MAT APPLIES FOR A NEW JOB

Mat found out about a great job opportunity with Cerner in Kansas City. He applied and we hoped for the best. We knew that if she got the job, there was a good chance that I would be able to stay home with Camden full time.

MATERNITY LEAVE ENDS

This wasn’t an exciting thing for me, but it was a big day. I cried, I am sure a lot of moms do when they go back to work. It was so hard for me, but at the same time, it was nice to see everyone at work again.

MAT ACCEPTS HIS NEW POSITION

After an interview in KC, Cerner offered Mat the position of Graphic Designer and he accepted. This was such an exciting time for us, but also left us with a lot of unknowns.

GOODBYE MISSOURI STATE

Leaving Missouri State was hard. I worked in a great department and loved my boss. Mat had been at the university for over six years and I was close to six myself. The university and everyone there will forever have a special place in our hearts.

OUR HOME SOLD

Our home was on the market for about a month when it went under contract and we accepted the offer to be out in two weeks. Mat was already in KC when the movers came, but I was there to lock the door that final time. It was sad to see it empty, it was the first home we purchased together and the one we brought Camden home to.

WELCOME TO KANSAS CITY

Kansas City was fun to start exploring. I had been many times since my parents lived less than two hours away, but hadn’t done much more than shop at the mall. While we continue to adventure into the city, the first few trips down to the Plaza and getting lost will never be forgotten.

SO LONG CAMPER

When we moved to KC, we moved into my parents camper and stayed at an RV park for more than two months. We lived minimally during that time in very close quarters. As much fun as it was at times, I was glad when it was over.

A NEW FAMILY HOME

On September 1, we closed on our new home and stayed the night on an air mattress. Some people would think that we were crazy to do this, but we were ready to be out of the camper. Those first couple days hold very fond memories.

VISITING FRIENDS IN WEST PLAINS

We still miss so many of our friends back home, but thankfully, we got to go to West Plains in October to see quite a few of them. We visited campus and got to show off Camden. It was a blast!

THANKSGIVING MAKES CAM GOBBLE

CrouseFamily

Camden gobbled a lot on his first Thanksgiving. If you follow me on Facebook, you probably remember that cute video. I would post it here if I could, but WordPress hasn’t been letting me post videos…I have tried.

CHRISTMAS WITH FAMILY

This year we celebrated Christmas with both sides of the family. We stayed with my parents for Christmas Eve and Day, then headed to PA to celebrate with Mat’s family. We are still here and loving all this time together.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Technically, New Years Eve isn’t here as I type this, but it’s on it’s way and it will be a great one…I will make sure of it!

Until next year my friends!!!
